How to Know God Personally
Perhaps curiosity prompted you to come to this section of the web site, or you may have responded yearning for a personal relationship with God. Or you may have come to this site feeling tired, lonely, discouraged or defeated, and you need some answers in life. Whatever motivated you, I assure you this is the most important information you'll ever read. This is called "the gospel" which simply means "good news." This is awesome, fantastic, thrilling news . . . the best news you'll ever hear. This is the story of God's love gift available for every person willing to receive the gift. I encourage you to read through the steps and pray the prayer below.

Three Simple Steps to Become a Christian
I call these the "Spiritual A, B, C's" since the steps are so simple but eternally life-changing.

Confess your sins. You may have lived a good, moral life, but the Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23 NASB) and “the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Romans 6:23 NIV). The Bible also says, “God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners” (Romans 5:8 NLT). Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross to pay the penalty for your sins and to provide complete forgiveness. Confess your sins and ask Christ to forgive your sins. As the Bible says, “He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance” (2 Peter 3:9 NIV).

Believe in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord.
When a religious man asked Jesus how to get to heaven, Jesus told him, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 NIV). Believing in Jesus Christ is a simple choice and a step of faith. “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9 NLT).

Accept Christ into your life. The Bible says, “He came to the world that was his own, but his own people did not accept him. But to all who did accept him and believe in him he gave the right to become children of God” (John 1:11–12 NCV). By accepting or asking Christ into your life, He now lives within you. “This is the secret: Christ lives in you” (Colossians 1:27 NLT).

"Dear Jesus,

I confess my sin. Thank you that you forgive every sin because of your death on the cross.

I believe in you. You proved yourself to be God through doing hundreds of miracles, healing, and raising the dead. Your miraculous life, death on the cross, and resurrection from the dead prove that I can put my trust in You.

I accept you into my life. By your Spirit, I invite you to live within me.
